A brilliant way to get kids closer to nature in Robin Hood's Forest.
Sherwood Forest is an amazing place for nature - especially some of the tiniest residents of the Greenwood. Did you know that Sherwood is a Site of Special Scientific Interest because of the ancient oak trees and its populations of rare insects? The RSPB's fabulous Explorer backpacks are available to hire each weekend and in the school holidays. For just £4 you can pick up a pack equipped with binoculars, magnifying glass, a bug collection and inspection pot and activity sheets. Packs can be booked online so they are ready for your when you arrive for your visit to Sherwood.
