Care for Your Patch of Sherwood

This is a drop-in session, aimed at community groups or individuals who have access to land to plant / grow on trees for community benefit so please book your spot using the link and pop down to see us when you can between 10.30am and 11.30pm.

This is a great chance to gain practical skills, meet fellow enthusiasts, and see how your efforts help reconnect Nottinghamshire communities with our forest’s ancient landscape. It is also a great opportunity to celebrate Sherwood Forest Day! As well as giving away free native trees (all grown in our tree nursery from seed collected by Izzy and our volunteers from the Sherwood area). Izzy will be on hand with help and advice on how to plant and care for your new trees and shrubs. We will also be giving away establishment materials along with our trees, such as stakes and guards, to give the trees the best chance of thriving! When: Friday 20th February 2026 10.30am - 11.30pm Where: Sherwood Seedbank, Forestry Holdings, Kings Clipstone. ///workbook.draw.radically (please view FAQ's!). Please do not head into Feel Good Gardens - we'll be in our polytunnel down the hill! Who: Whether you’re part of a community group, a local parish, a school, or have a patch of land in need of some life, this is a great chance to gain practical skills, meet fellow enthusiasts, and learn how your efforts help reconnect Nottinghamshire communities with our forest’s ancient landscape. Want to get more involved? Talk to us about your ideas for community conservation or if you have other ideas for Sherwood Forest Day.
