Crying Christmas
Crying Christmas
Step into the Greenwood for a festive day of Medieval Festive revelry!
Join the Sheriff of Nottingham and the Sherwood Outlaws for the traditional ceremony of Crying Christmas in Sherwood Forest! Each Yuletide, the Sheriff pardons the outlaws for a few short weeks so that they can enjoy the fun of Christmas. He also names a Lord of Misrule from among the young visitors to the Forest. Will it be you this year? Dressing up for this event is positively encouraged and there is a competition for the most colourful costume and the craziest hat. The event is free, but there is a charge for have a go archery (£3 for 5 arrows or £5 for ten arrows).Event information
