Did you know that Sherwood Forest is a Site of Special Scientific Interest partly because of the incredible insects that live here? Some of the rarest types of insect anywhere in the UK can be found in the woodland – but a whole host of brilliant species call this special place ‘home’. So, why not discover some of the tiniest creatures that live in and around Robin Hood’s forest? Led by one of our Sherwood team, try your hand at using sweep nets and bug pots, and see what you can find when you inspect them! Can you complete our Buggy Bingo? Match the insect on your card to those you find in real life! This brilliant safari is ideal for 4-14 years olds interested in learning more about wildlife. All children must be accompanied by and adult (Max 2 adults per group). Please wear suitable clothing for being outdoors. Well behaved dogs on leads welcome.
