If God is the source and sustainer of all things and if God is not an undifferentiated unity, but the Holy Trinity, then how is this trinitarian being expressed in nature? In the mechanistic science of the nineteenth century it was hard to see any connection, but the science and cosmology of the twenty-first century strongly suggest that everything has a fundamentally trinitarian constitution, and that all self-organizing systems, including atoms, cells, living organisms, solar systems and galaxies may be mind-like, if not actually conscious. The Holy Trinity is not a theological abstraction hovering above an unconscious material universe, but immanent in all nature.Event information
