Southwell Music Festival returns this August, filling the Nottinghamshire town with music for all to enjoy from Friday 28 – Monday 31 August. Tickets are now on sale for this ever-popular weekend of music, which is now in its 12th year. Each year, the Festival welcomes professional musicians and performers from across the UK as well as shining a spotlight on the best of Nottinghamshire’s home-grown talent, including providing performance opportunities and apprenticeships for young, early-career musicians. Alongside an exceptional selection of classical, jazz and folk performances by truly world-class musicians, including this year's Artist-in-Residence Isata Kanneh-Mason, there are plenty of free events to enjoy too.
Southwell Music Festival takes place in Nottinghamshire from 28 – 31 August 2026. This year’s programme includes performances from internationally acclaimed pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason. The Festival Voices and Festival Sinfonia join forces for a performance of Brahms’ Requiem, and there’s an evening of classic opera and musical theatre repertoire with A Night at the Opera. Come to Southwell for a jam-packed bank holiday weekend of classical, folk, and jazz music at venues across the historic town. Tickets are now on sale.
