Volunteer Open Morning

As we move ever closer to the reopening of St Mary's, we're looking to recruit a team of Church Stewards and Tour Guides to help us with our reawakening!

Whether you've previously volunteered with us or are brand new to the idea, you are very welcome to attend one of our open mornings to learn more, familiarise yourself with the new spaces, and meet the team. Even if you've been a steward or guide for many years, you are most welcome to come along to hear about our plans and what's been going on behind the scenes while church has been closed. There's no commitment at this stage, so if you're curious about getting involved, we'd love to see you there! Volunteer Open Mornings will take place at the following days and times: Wednesday, 15th October 10.30 am - 12.30 pm St Mary Magdalene, Newark (use vestry office entrance) Saturday, 25th October 10.30 am - 12.30 pm St Mary Magdalene, Newark (use vestry office entrance) The morning will include a welcome and introduction from our Heritage Manager and Volunteer Coordinator, information about the new heritage displays and history tours, and a short workshop focussed on visitor experience. We'll then have some refreshments (hot drinks and biscuits) with a chance to chat, get to know each other and ask questions. To allow us to accurately gauge numbers and refreshments, it would be much appreciated if you could fill out a booking form to let us know that you are coming.
