Born in Hungary in 1932, Agnes was still a child when her life was shaped by persecution, forced labour and displacement under Nazi rule. Her testimony follows her journey from early separation from her parents to survival in ghettos and labour camps, and later rebuilding her life after the war. After arriving in the UK, Agnes went on to study electrical engineering, building a distinguished career in telecommunications and becoming one of the first women elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering. Alongside this, she has dedicated many years to Holocaust education. In sharing the impact of losing 19 members of her family, her testimony brings a human perspective to this history and offers a rare opportunity to hear directly from a survivor.
